Guess Who's Turning 39 today...

Happy Birthday Ricky Schroder!

He's famous for his role in the sitcom Silver Spoons, but I'll always remember him for being in the first movie I ever cried at.

Can you believe this kid will be 40 next year?! He'll probably start going by "Rick" and voting Republican.

Pacific Northwest Juggling Festival

Time to dig my prop bag out from the bottom of my closet, there's a juggling festival in Corvallis this weekend (March 27-29). I don't think I've juggled since last summer's da Vinci Days.

Reasons to recommend the juggling convention to non-jugglers:

1. Renegade Show - Friday night at 10:00 in McAlexander Fieldhouse. Renegade shows are like regular juggling shows, only more amateur and fringey.

2. Public Show - Saturday night at 7:00 in LaSells-Stewart Center.

3. It's Free! - They will pass a hat at the public show.

4. Learn to juggle - I will teach you. If I can learn, anyone can learn.

Pictures from Last Weekend

Four Reasons why last weekend was great:

1. Friday After work, we all met at Cloud 9 downtown to welcome Arwen home from Australia.

Welcome back Arwen! (Sorry for the blurry picture)

Swearing in the new President, Katie.

First Dude Will took pictures.

Eric is startled.

This amuses Allison.

Ben, Paul, Chris C., and Chris B. were also there, but I only took pictures of the people sitting on the other side of the table.

2. The Beavers beat the Ducks in softball. I really don't really feel the Beavers/Ducks rivalry on a gut level, but I was glad to see the softball team again; this was there first home game this season. I didn't take pictures.

3. Chris and I went to see Chicago at the Majestic Theater.

4. We got house guests again!

Portland Timbers are going Major League

It was just announced yesterday that the Portland Timbers will be joining the MLS for the 2011 season.

Which means the Colorado Rapids join the list of Denver teams that will regularly visit Oregon along with the Nuggets and the Mammoth.

An Anniversary

February 4, 2008, was the first day that same sex couples in Oregon could sign up for Domestic Partnerships. Chris and I signed up that day. I didn't have a blog at the time, so I'm posting this picture on the one year anniversary instead.

Also, I didn't have a camera then either, but fortunately their was a nice lesbian couple who took our picture and sent us a copy. Thanks Wendy and Paige!

Super Sushi

Inspired by Joey, we decide to make sushi for the Super Bowl party.

We mimic the Steeler's logo using egg, red bell pepper, and blue potato.

I was actually rooting for the Cardinals, but their logo was harder to sushi-ize.
